Plenty of street parking right outside or in the lot near Molly Stones!
You may find some at yelp.com . There are many photos.
Food is good. Service is OK
Family owned authentic Cantonese restaurant just south of Hillsdale Mall. Free parking on the street in front of the restaurant. Facilities are contemporary and clean. Service is good, staff is attentive. You can get old school Cantonese food here that you can't get at most places. Definitely a place to take your relatives for a blast from the past!
Don't know how a restaurant can treat customers so rudely and survive. I guess you need to speak their language.
The restaurant is quite cold
Hong Kong style BBQ. Very tasty, extensive menu. At lunch, this place is packed! Make sure you bring an extra shirt, because it’s barbecue, your clothes will smell like it. Delivery for orders over $25. Dine-in over $68, you get a $10 coupon during grand-opening time.
True Cantonese comfort food.... hoo hoo sek ah!!!!!!!!
Busy Chinese Resto on a Saturday afternoon. Spacious dining area. We arrived just before the lunch crowd hit. Ordered the House combination crispy noodles and the Roasted pork appetizer. The roasted pork was more fat than meat and slightly under cooked. 2/5 Crispy combo noodles were pretty good but sloppy towards the bottom because they were over dressed in sauce. 3/5 Unfortunately, we will probably not return here ever again unless they offered half off dishes because in my opinion, that's what they were worth. Yikes. Service was okay though. 1 appetizer & 1 main dish $24
This place is probably one of, if not THE best chinese restaurant in Belmont/san carlos area! Tried them on a whim, and was very impressed with the generous portion sizes, the quality of the food, and the nice staff. Will return for sure!
Real Chinese food! Lots of choices! It is family run and ALWAYS busy. There are booths and tables. The waiters and waitresses REALLY hustle up and down the aisles and the cooks are fast. All plates are substantial.
Great addition to the chain! More cafe layout but still all the usual family style or banquet style dishes. Food is good as always!
Minced beef with egg over rice, spareribs with black bean sauce over rice
Good place for quick lunch
Cheung Hing fills a gap in the area for Cantonese bbq. While they also have typical Cantonese restaurant items, bbq duck, roast pork and char sui is their specialty. And due to popular demand they also have xiao lung bao but don't expect the xlb is up to Din Tai Fung quality. If you're looking for HK cafe, go to Cooking Papa in Foster City but I'm glad to have Cantonese bbq in the neighborhood, saving a trip to Millbrae.
The Service was slow.we've been eating here for about 5 times and the service is still the same.but the food is good .that's why I only put 3 star.
Service is rough and off. For example, we ordered two Hong Kong style milk tea. One came with proper teacup, spoon and a plate. One came without plate. Lack of communication and coordination with kitchen and customer. But food is authentic Hong Kong style cousin if you don’t mind the service.
The roasted pork is amazing. This is probably the best Chinese place in San Mateo in terms of price/value.
Hit or miss but usually it’s on point for a casual Chinese meal. The usual suspects are all here: chow fun, chow mein, stir-frieds on rice, clay pot rice, wonton soup. Large restaurant - I’ve never waited long for a table.
2 of the 4 orders were right but the 2 sweet and sour chicken over rice because i asked for the lunch special and need to have staff that answers the phone to understand the english language and be little bit more nicer to people and the staff not understanding the english language is unacceptable and needs serious improvement .
So pleasantly surprised by the Cantonese food in this restaurant!! Some of the best I've had in a long time since I moved to the area from NYC. The minced pork with salty fish and egg tasted authentic, the mushroom and chicken clay pot rice was fantastic (perfect crispy rice in the bottom!!) And the red dragon fish was fresh and steamed well. The bbq and chicken meats were also well seasoned and cooked. I'll definitely come back!!
I think the Millbrae one is better.
Food is good and price is reasonable. Bbq products are good.
Great Cantonese cuisine feels like home cooking (to me).
Very slow service in a chaotic nature of walking up and shouting to get a table number.Order for To Go waited hour for a simple order which didn't include all my items. Visit another restaurant instead for better service.General Chicken was overcooked and quite dry. BBQ Pork Fried Rice was mostly Egg Fried Rice bit of flavor.
This is the second visit. The first one was not that good. They ran out most of the dishes that I have ordered. And the services were slow. Likely, they just need some warm up period to run the business smoothly. On my second visit, this store is up to par with their other locations. I would rate them higher than Cooking Papa in Foster City.
Good food; very clean, well-lit and organized space. Will come again for a relaxed, full filling time.
Good roast duck. A good variety of dishes. Reasonable and very affordable prices. Good service
A newly opened Chinese restaurant offering a combination of decent Cantonese and Shanghainese signature dishes. Clean tables and floors and bright decor, fast service during busy dinner time. The best part was the affordable price point compared to nearby Cantonese restaurants.
Good price and taste good~
Roast duck and pork are off the hook! Spinach and garlic.Salt and pepper fish.Sooooo good.
This is one of the only authentic Chinese restaurant. Tastes like the one in Hong Kong.
Excellent food!
Great food reasonable pricesClean and comfortabl6
Good Cantonese food with great wait staff
I wish the owner would get off the phone and stop talking at the top of her voice. The food is good but this behavior from the owner really detracts from the experience. She's practically yelling on the phone non-stop! It's crazy.
Lots of food! Food packages have a diverse set of food, with very good taste!
The food and prices are good, but the service is absolutely horrendous. The first time I went, it was fairly busy, so I didn't hold it against them. But the second and third time I went, the restaurant was nearly empty. We were regularly neglected by waiters/waitresses while simultaneously being rushed whenever they did stop by our table. Questions about menu items from my sister were met with scoffs, and when we wanted more time to decide we were told that we needed to order everything right then. The food is good, but this place is literally right next door to a better chinese restaurant that has equivalent prices, a better menu selection, and very friendly staff. I rated the place next door 5 stars, so if you're between the 2, pick the other one.
The roast duck is the best!
Good Chinese restaurant; good variety of different types of Chinese food; friendly services
Well well well, stood in the foyer and left... saw me leave and started walking towards me. First waitress ( the one who coaxed me back in ) was really difficult, got a second. Second waitress got my order wrong ( she blamed it on the kitchen staff ) and avoided my table. Manager ( mike )was nice, though he was mostly concerned with trying to sound nice. Asked him about Boba, didn’t think about it too long and again was more concerned with sounding nice then a solution. But their is that chance he didn’t know where Boba was to be had. Not sure if I would eat here again....
Good food and reasonable price, easy parking
Ordered:*3 BBQ meats.. steamed chicken, pork belly, duck . Amazing will order again*Lamb pot... Amazing flavor.. tender meat*Pea sprout.. Next time get it in soup instead of garlic..oily*Mustard greens.. standard.. Solid*Black bean fish fillet.. standardService is like your usual Chinese place. Fast but you have to flag them down and you better know your order quick!
I read the service is questionable. But we received very prompt and friendly service And the food is well worth it! Their Shanghai dumplings are wonderful and rival those more expensive at the high end restaurants. It's a casual place and can be hectic when you go at their busiest times, but their dishes are worth the wait! Highly recommend!
The food is decent, didn't get to try their bbq pork. The soy sauce chicken was well done. Was a little underwhelmed by the clay pot rice. I like the service a lot and they gave free bowl of dessert. The portions are large so I would go with just one main dish next time
Hard to chew veggie. Salty dishes.
Good for daily food
Good food for neighborhood eating. Price is reasonable
Not bad at all... Quick service
Perfect for eating out with a large group of people, not so convinient for one person (portions are too big and do only have few things - so have to order at least two dishes to have a roper meal). The food is good though. Tea is tasteless.
Delicious Cantonese bbq and crispy noodles. Big portions too!
One of the largest and most comprehensive menus I've ever seen for a Chinese restaurant. This place replaces Uncle Chen's and improves upon it's style with a broader and deeper sense of flavor and choice. The fried rice is wonderful, and it's packed with people at mealtime so you know it's going to be delicious no matter what you order. The biggest downside is having to choose a single option, so bring friends and family to share each others' dishes and get a wider sampling!
